What are flex rates? |

For flex rate bookings the following applies: The flex rate that is available at the
time of booking for the first rental day determines the daily rental rate for the entire
rental period up to the 35th day. All rental days from the 36th day on are counted as a
new booking and the flex rate that applies for the 36th day will be used from then on, The flex
rate that applies for the 71st rental day will be used from then, etc.
Pick-up and drop-off days are counted as one day in total, i.e. each rental night is
used for the price calculation in the same way it is done by hotels. To find out which
flex rate is currently valid for the vehicle you are interested in, just click for a price
calculation for the desired rental duration. The flex rate is calculated by the rental company
on the basis of supply and demand and is adjusted every Monday.
NOTE: If you wish to make any changes to your booking the booking will be calculated by using either the original flex rate or the flex rate that is valid at the time of the booking change, depending on whichever rate is higher.
The following situations are classified as booking alterations.
- Change of date for vehicle pick-up or drop-off
- Change of location (depot) for vehicle pick-up or drop-off
- Change of vehicle category
- Name change
If you decide to extend your rental duration (changing the drop-off date)
by 2 days the same flex rate is used that applied on the day when you made
your original booking. If you extend by 3 days or more, the booking change
rule applies as outlined above.

800-km packages: AU$ 361
Unlimited kilometre packages: AU$ 1,535 for 21 days,
thereafter AU$ 65/day
Early Bird Departure Transfer:
• Transfer to the depot from a designated 'transfer hotel' at approx. 0900hrs
• Preferential treatment during pick-up
• You will be ready to roll before 1200hrs at the latest
• You can drop off the vehicle as late as 1500hrs
The cost for this option varies depending on which day you pick up the motorhome:
- Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday: AU$ 298
- Monday, Friday, Saturday: AU$ 568*
- Sunday: AU$ 1,110
* this includes week days that fall directly after a public holiday
If you book your Cruise America motorhome with us by 31 Jan 2009 you will receive a
10% early booker discount off the standard flex rates - no matter which vehicle you book.
For pick-ups in Vancouver or Calgary you will also receive a campground
discount card (between the applicable dates below) from the RVRAC
which allows you to save between 10% - 20% on campground fees at many of the
leading campgrounds in British Columbia between 01 April - 26 June 09 and
between 01 September - 12 October 09.
