What are flex rates? |

For flex plan bookings the following applies: The flex rate that is available for
the first rental day at the time of booking determines the daily rental rate for the
entire rental period. To find out which flex rate is currently valid for the
vehicle you are interested in, just click for a price calculation for the desired
rental duration. The flex rate is calculated by the rental company on the basis of
supply and demand and is adjusted every Friday.
NOTE: If you wish to make any changes to your booking the booking will be
calculated by using either the original flex rate or the flex rate that is valid
at the time of the booking change, depending on whichever rate is higher.
The following situations are classified as booking alterations.
- Change of date for vehicle pick-up or drop-off
- Change of location (depot) for vehicle pick-up or drop-off
- Change of vehicle category
- Name change

- 2.5% off the daily rates for 21 - 34 day hires
- 5% off the daily rates for hires of 35 days or more
• just AU$ 51 / day for campervans and motorhomes - max. 50 rental days payable
• just AU$ 63 / day for 4WD vehicles - max. 50 rental days payable
• just AU$ 35 / day for 'Rookie' vehicle - max. 30 rental days payable
This option includes the following services on top of the provisions included in the standard flex rates:
• 'Excess Reduction Option 2' insurance supplement
• 'No Worries Cover Option' which eliminates the excess (insured damages)
• Diesel tax recovery fee
• Additional driver fees
• Personal kits for all passengers
• 1 camping chair per person
• 1 camping table
• First LPG gas fill
• 1 baby/booster seat (must be booked in advance)
• Snow Chains if required
• Portable Heater if required (except for 'Rookie' vehicle)
• For 4WD vehicles only: safety kit with satellite safety beacon
