Save up to 20% with Fleet Lotto (also known as 'Run of Fleet').
With Fleet Lotto (Flotto) you allow the rental company the flexibility to allocate you a vehicle type the day you actually pick it up. This means, that no specific vehicle will be confirmed to you at time of booking. By playing Flotto you have the opportunity to receive a discount of up to 20% on the normal flex rate price.
There are two Flotto vehicle groups you can choose from, which are each made up of different vehicle categories. You can either play Flotto for Group 2 (suitable for up to 2 people which could be a TC-A, DVC or SVC; in Toronto, Montreal & Halifax DVC or SVC only) or for Group 4 (suitable for up to 2 adults and 2 small children which could be a SVC, MH-A oer MH-B). At worst, you will receive the smallest vehicle category within your chosen group for the normal flex rate price, but at best you may receive a larger category at the price you would have paid for the smaller category vehicle.
For further details, please refer to the paragraph 'Guaranteed Model or Vehicle Category' in the section 'Pick-up/Drop-off'.
Please note: Run of fleet is not available from Edmonton.

For flex rate bookings the following applies: The flex rate that is available at the time of booking for the first rental day determines the daily rental rate for the entire rental period up to the 7th day. All rental days from the 8th day on are counted as a new booking and the flex rate that applies for the 8th day will be used from then on.
Pick-up and drop-off days are counted as one day in total, i.e. each rental night is used for the price calculation in the same way this is done by hotels. To find out which flex rate is currently valid for the vehicle you are interested in, just click for a price calculation for the desired rental period. The flex rate is calculated by the rental company on the basis of supply and demand and is adjusted every Sunday.
Note: If you wish to make any changes to your booking, the booking will be calculated by using either the original flex rate or the flex rate at the time of the booking change, depending on which rate is higher. The following situations are classified as booking alterations:
- Change of date for vehicle pick-up or drop-off
- Change of location (depot) for vehicle pick-up or drop-off
- Change of vehicle category

Public liability insurance
Public liability insurance with an upper limit of CA$ 5 million is included in the daily rental rate. This covers claims made against the rental company or the renter with respect to damages to third parties and/or their property. Passengers are not counted as third parties, therefore they are not insured against any claims.
Vehicle insurance
The comprehensive insurance is included in the rental rates. This reduces the renter's personal level of risk/excess to CA$ 1,000 - CA$ 1,750 per incident if an accident happens, in the event of theft or vandalism, regardless of how or by whom any damage to the vehicle occurs. For a list of things that are not covered by the insurance please see below table entitled 'Insurance Exclusions'.

You are responsible for the maximum charge stipulated, where expenses include, but are not limited to:
towing, storage fees, damage to CanaDream Inc. vehicle, damage to third party, property, injury claims, insurance adjuster fees, legal fees.
The deposit, which you are required to provide when you pick up the vehicle, applies for each incident involving damage (please see above table). This needs to be provided by credit card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Union Pay). The amount will be deducted from your account at pick-up in and in Canadian Dollars. If you return the vehicle in good condition, the full amount will be credited to your card at drop-off. Neither the rental company nor the tour operator are liable for any differences that result from foreign exchange fluctuations or external fees.
Please ensure you have enough credit available on your credit card. The deposit applies for each and any incident where the rental vehicle or the property of a third party is damaged. In such cases a further bond will be required from the renter in order to cover the excess in any future incidents.
The excess (deposit) is always banked in the first instance, regardless of who is at fault and is owed to the rental company by the renter. The excess is refunded if the rental company receives a payment from a third party (which can take quite a while in some cases) - including an admission of fault - and a separate excess is deducted every time an accident occurs.
All insurance cover is null and void if the terms of the CanaDream rental agreement are breached. Any damage that is caused when the renter acts outside of the rental company conditions is not covered by the insurance.
Any water and/or saltwater related damage where the renter is at fault is not covered by the insurance. The insurance does not cover damage in the case of vehicle submersion, the vehicle being stranded in a water area, driving through causeways or beach driving.
Any personal property that is damaged or stolen during an accident, vandalism or a theft is not insured. Private insurance should be purchased in your home country to cover any such issues. In order to avoid theft of personal items from the vehicle it is advised not to leave any valuable items in the vehicle.
In the cases listed below the renter is fully liable for any damage to the rental vehicle and third-party property, i.e. no insurance cover whatsoever is provided:
- water/saltwater-related damage as listed above
- activities that are in breach of the rental agreement conditions, e.g. driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol or dangerous driving (especially with regard to trailers and camping appendages)
In the following cases the renter is liable for the full amount of damage caused both to the rented vehicle and to the property of a third party involved:
- any damage to the awning and slide-out, undercarriage and overhead of the RV
- if you have no written accident report & police file number or if you do not notify the rental company/depot within 24 hours of accident
- Hit & Run (where you cause damage to third party property in your vehicle and do not report it or where a third party hits and damages your vehicle and you are unable to obtain third party contact information)
- damage caused by the use of the wrong fuel or when water, oil, etc. are not topped up to minimum required levels (causing overheating, frost damage, etc) or where warning signals, air pressure are ignored
- damage caused by the incorrect use of snow chains
- damage caused due to a single vehicle roll over
- costs that arise for towing and recovery of vehicles that have been stranded or submerged as a result of the driver's actions
- damage, repairs and towing costs that are incurred because of driving on restricted roads or in forbidden areas or driving in the USA without prior authorization
- costs incurred if vehicle keys are either lost or locked in the vehicle
- damage resulting from driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol
- if damage is caused as a result of people using the vehicle without the permission (not registered in rental agreement) of the rental company
- if damage is caused while the vehicle is driven by an impaired driver
- if more passengers are in the car than the maximum number allowed
- If any member of the rental party deliberately damages any part of the vehicle
- parkade and drive-through damage
- damages incurred during illegal act and/or wilful damage
The renter is liable for any fees, costs, fines or penalties that occur during his/her use of the rental vehicle unless any such costs that have taken place are the fault of the rental company.
Where speeding tickets and parking fines and/or accidents, etc. (e.g. that have not been mentioned to the rental company) come to light the rental company reserves the right to invoice the customer for these costs in arrears as well as a processing fee or charge their credit card.
The insurance options offered by the rental company do not include luggage insurance, nor do they include cover for any damage to the driver or passengers. It is therefore recommended to obtain travel insurance that covers accidents, sickness and loss of luggage prior to departure.
A valid UK, European, Australian or New Zealand licence is recognized for use in Canada as long as the details are also provided in English. If the licence does not also provide information in English an international driving licence is then required together with the original.

Burning Man and Electric Daisy Carnival Surcharge:
If you plan to attend the Burning Man or Electric Daisy Carnival Festival in Nevada, this must be requested and confirmed at time of booking and there is a mandatory and non-refundable surcharge of CA$ 1,500 or CA$ 750 for all hires. Renters who travel to festivals without this permission will be subject to a CA$ 1,500 fine and all insurance cover will be null and void.
One-way rentals (vehicle pick-up at location 'A' and drop-off at location 'B') between all depots (except Edmonton) are available for a fee, if requested with your advance booking. One-way rentals are not allowed with vehicle type TC-A from West Canada to East Canada. One-way rentals from/to Whitehorse are on request only all season long.
The minimum rental period for one-way hires is 7 days. The one-way fee will automatically be factored into the total price during the online quote/booking process on our website. If booking the One-Way Special as part of the Early Booker Special, a minimum hire period of 14 days will apply.
Please note that the renter is liable for any damage to the vehicle resulting from frost, exposure to the cold, freezing of the tanks, warm water tanks and connections and damage such as this is not covered by the insurance.
If it is likely that you will experience temperature levels below zero, all connections such as water and chemical tanks should be emptied. If frost temperatures are expected the rental depot will have already winterised the vehicle by emptying the water to avoid freezing, etc. prior to your pick-up date. Winterised, by definition, means that the water has to be emptied out of all water tanks. Following this it is not permitted to pour any more water into the fresh water tank and none of the water connections can be used any more.
Winterization in the west coast stations normally starts around 01 October and for the eastern stations around 15 October each year and ends at the end of April. The MHA motorhome is the only vehicle type which is equipped to handle the winter temperatures.
No water in the vehicle is available for use.
The renter is then required to purchase his/her own bottled water (e.g. drinking water) and to cover these costs him/herself. The basins, sink, showers and toilets can no longer be used. However, the toilet can be partially flushed as long as only the windscreen wiper anti-frost fluid is used. If there is a heavy frost the toilet should not even be flushed like this and you will need to use public toilets.
The renter bears all responsibility for ensuring the vehicle remains winterised and for returning the vehicle in this state if the vehicle was collected in a warmer region such that the vehicle was not winterised or if this state is altered during the rental period. If the renter does not adhere to these guidelines - regardless of what weather conditions are present at drop-off time, a fee will be charged and the deposit will be withheld until the vehicle is again winterised by a specialist and returned to the rental company.
The renter will be held responsible for any costs resulting from the vehicle being damaged such as when the tanks, engine elements and pipes are damaged due to freezing, frost, etc. In such cases there is no insurance cover.
Please allow for the fact - when planning out your route, that camping grounds in certain areas may close during the winter. Some roads, especially in alpine areas may also be closed for driving or may be simply too dangerous to drive on.
Calgary, Edmonton, Halifax, Montreal, Toronto, Vancouver, Whitehorse.

It is closed completely from 16 Oct onwards.
On Sundays in April and October and on public holidays the depots are closed. However, a pick-up and/or drop-off on Sundays is available on request and for a fee. This surcharge is automatically factored into the total price during the booking process. If both pick-up and drop-off fall on a Sunday, this fee is charged for both days. Prices will be displayed during the online quoting/booking process on our website. From May to September Sunday pick-up and drop-off are possible free of charge.
Public holidays in 2021: 02 Apr, 11 Oct
It is required to phone the pick-up depot either on the day prior to collection up to 1800hrs or on the morning of pick up after 0800hrs, where you will be informed of your designated pick up time and a transfer/taxi booked if required (from airport or airport hotel).
With social distancing measures, these times must be adhered to so that CanaDream can minimise the number of customers at their rental stations at any one time.
Pick-up is possible at the booked depot between 1300hrs and 1600hrs.
If you book the early pick-up option you can collect your vehicle between 1000hrs and 1200hrs, i.e. the pick-up process will begin during this time.
The price for this option will be shown during the online quoting/booking process on our website.
Note: You are required to spend your first night in Canada in a hotel after your international flight and can only collect the vehicle on the day after your arrival.
You are required to return the rental vehicle at the booked CanaDream depot between 0800 and 1000hrs, unless you have booked the late drop-off option, in which case you are allowed to return the vehicle up until 1500hrs.
There are no refunds provided if the vehicle is returned earlier than the date and time booked. If the vehicle is not returned to the agreed depot by 1000hrs on the drop-off date, CanaDream will charge CA$ 150 per hour that it is late and the airport transfer will be cancelled. Additional fees are charged if the vehicle is not returned to the agreed depot.
You are required to return the motorhome with a clean interior, the toilet and waste water tanks must be empty and the fuel tank refilled to where it was at pick-up, otherwise fees will be charged. The propane gas does not have to be refilled. If the vehicle is returned in a damaged state the appropriate fees will be charged as outlined in CanaDream's rental agreement, which is signed at pick-up time.
If your returning flight departs in the morning we strongly recommend that you book your motorhome such that you drop it off the day before you depart and spend a night in a hotel (or similar).
Transfers are available between all depots and international airports / certain airport hotels (see list below) but not from/to downtown areas. The rental company will make every effort to ensure that the booked vehicle model is provided. However, it reserves the right to provide either a vehicle of the same or a higher value without upgrade costs if the model booked is not available for any reason or due to unforeseen circumstances. Any additional costs such as higher petrol costs or ferry crossings costs, will not be reimbursed. This does not enable the renter to cancel his/her booking and there is no ground for reimbursement. Even though all vehicles have similar equipment and designs, small differences in vehicle design may exist. All measurements and size indications are approximate values and are based on the information provided to us by the rental company. We do not accept responsibility for any mistakes or other human error in the provision of these details.
The information on our website can be changed at any time without prior notice.
FLOTTO (Run of Fleet)
With fleet lotto (FLOTTO) you allow CanaDream the flexibility of not determining which vehicle you will receive until the day you actually pick it up.
By 'playing' Flotto you have the opportunity of getting a vehicle for up to 20% lower than the normal flex rate price. There are two Flotto vehicle groups you can choose from, which are each made up of different vehicle categories. You can either play Flotto for Group 2 or for Group 4. At worst you will receive the smaller vehicle category within your chosen group for the normal flex rate price, but at best you may receive a larger vehicle model but at the price you would have paid for the smaller category vehicle.
The two Flotto groups are:
Flotto Group 2 (suitable for up to 2 adults)
You are guaranteed to receive one of the following CanaDream vehicle categories:
Deluxe Van Camper DVC, Truck & Camper TC-A, Super Van Camper SVC; but in Toronto, Montreal & Halifax DVC or SVC only!
Flotto Group 4 (suitable for up to 2 adults and 2 small children)
You are guaranteed to receive one of the following CanaDream vehicle categories:
Super Van Camper SVC, Midi Motorhome MH-B, Maxi Motorhome MH-A
Please note: Run of fleet is not available from Edmonton.
The rental company reserves the right to charge a cleaning fee for vehicles that are returned with an excessively dirty interior (CA$ 75/hour). The toilet and waste water tank (if the rental vehicle has these) must be emptied or a further fee of CA$ 75 is charged. Vehicles are supplied with a minimum ¼ tank of petrol. If you return with less fuel than on departure, you will be charged for the difference. There is no refund if you return with more fuel. The propane gas does not have to be refilled.
In the event of an accident, breakdown, technical difficulties (including problems with tyres) you are required to inform the rental company immediately on the toll-free service line provided. A nationwide network of contracted mechanics is available in such cases 24/7.
In the event of an accident, the police need to be contacted and the rental company should be informed within no longer than 24 hours. Third party demands are not to be agreed to and the police report must include the name and address of the people involved as well as any witnesses along with the vehicle registration details. Even in the case of minor damage the renter is required to provide a detailed written report to CanaDream outlining the situation together with the police report.
Note: If you do not inform CanaDream immediately about the need for a repair and if the company is not given the opportunity to help you find you a solution no compensation will be provided.
A pet dog or cat is allowed in the CanaDream RVs for a fee of CA$ 300. Service animals can travel in the RVs free of charge with prior permission and proof of service certification.
It is necessary to inform us in advance if you wish to bring a pet and ensure that the pet does not cause any damage to the vehicle. Should additional pet cleaning be required at drop-off, additional cleaning charges will apply.
Smoking is also not permitted in the vehicles. CanaDream will charge a fee of CA$ 500 for non-compliance.
If you plan to take your motorhome on a ferry we strongly suggest that you book this well in advance. We recommend you book a space on the ferry for a vehicle up to 27ft in size even if you book a smaller vehicle, just in case you are upgraded at the depot to a larger vehicle. For information on the ferry through the Inside Passage and other routes, please visit BC FERRIES, where you can also make a direct booking.
All information provided has been put together by us (Motorhome Bookers Ltd) in as much detail as possible and on the basis of the information made available to us. This information has been taken from the rental company's conditions which they have provided to us. Any additional conditions are included in the rental agreement which is entered into by yourself and the rental company. You will receive the complete list of rental conditions with your rental agreement, which you sign when you collect your vehicle. We don't accept responsibility for any differences that come to light between our list of conditions and those of the rental company.
Transfers are available between all depots and international airports / certain airport hotels (see list below) but not from/to downtown areas. They can be pre-booked and paid for with Motorhome Bookers during the booking process on our website. If not pre-booked with us you may still add this by calling CanaDream directly when confirming your scheduled pick-up time. In this case you have to pay it locally in CA$.
