Ferry Bookings in Canada

British Columbia Ferries (BC Ferries)

One of the most spectacular experiences you can have in Canada is the 'Inside Passage' journey which takes you past the stunning islands between Port Hardy on Vancouver Island and Prince Rupert.

This trip takes approx. 15 hours and provides beautiful views of deeply carved fiords and magnificent forest areas which are all virtually void of people.

To enjoy all of this we strongly recommend that you book day ferry trips well in advance, especially in the Summer months. The spaces available for motorhomes on the ferries are especially limited.

Below is a link which allows you to make your ferry reservation with BC Ferries. The price you pay to take a motorhome on the ferry ranges - depending on the size of the vehicle and the time of the year, from approx. CA$ 230 to CA$ 550. The cost per person ranges from approx. CA$ 55 to CA$ 80. Cabins are also available if required.

Note: Effective 22 June 06, a fuel surcharge of 3.2 per cent for major routes connecting Vancouver Island to the Lower Mainland and 9.6 per cent on all other routes is also applied to all fares, excluding the Mill Bay route.

Click here to make your reservation on the BC Ferries website (this site also offers the ferries between Vancouver and Vancouver Island).

Marine Atlantic

Marine Atlantic operates the ferry connections between Newfoundland and the Canadian mainland. During Summer there are daily connections from North Sydney to Port aux Basques and to Argentia. You can access schedules and reservation options via the Marine Atlantic website.
