Online check-in is mandatory in order to maintain social distancing and ensure the health and safety of customers and staff at the rental depot. The rental company can then prepare your rental agreement in advance of your arrival so that it is ready for you to sign as soon as you arrive to collect your vehicle, saving you valuable holiday time. Please ensure to complete the online check-in process prior to arrival using the following link:
http://www.bunkcampers.com/en/driver-details/
The rental company offers you the "Saver 2 and Saver 4" option, which allows you to save money by allowing the rental company to assign the vehicle type on the day of pick-up.
Please note that you cannot specify the vehicle of your choice. This is entirely at the discretion of the rental company, subject to availability.
There are two choices:
A maximum of 2 people can be booked with the Saver 2 and you will receive one of the following models: Aero, Aero Plus or Vista Plus
You can see the vehicle details of the individual categories in the rental company overview.
A maximum of 4 people can be booked with the Saver 4 and you will receive one of the following models: Europa, Vista Plus or Grande
You can see the vehicle details of the individual categories in the rental company overview.
It is important that the correct booking is made for the number of adults/children.
For flex rate bookings the following applies: The flex rate that is available at the time of booking for the first rental day determines the daily rental rate for the entire rental period up to the 7th day. Every rental day from the 8th day on are counted as a new booking and the flex rate that applies for the 8th day will be used from then on, and the flex rate that applies for the 15th rental day will be used from then, etc.
Pick-up and drop-off days are counted as one day in total, i.e. each rental night is used for the price calculation in the same way as is done by hotels. To find out which flex rate is currently valid for the vehicle you are interested in, just click for a price calculation for the desired rental duration. The flex rate is calculated by the rental company on the basis of supply and demand and is adjusted every Sunday.
Note: If you wish to make any changes to your booking, the booking will be re-calculated using either the original flex rate or the flex rate at the time of the booking change, depending on which rate is higher.
The following situations are classified as booking alterations.
- Change of date for vehicle pick-up or drop-off
- Change of location (depot) for vehicle pick-up or drop-off
- Change of vehicle category
- Name change
If you decide to extend your rental duration by 2 days to a date that is later than the original drop-off date, the same flex rate is used that applied on the day when you made your original booking. If you extend this by 3 days or more, the booking change rule applies as outlined above.
The following conditions apply to multiple rentals:

- The payments made for the All-Inclusive option (can be booked in advance) and the excess reduction insurance options (available on pick-up) are still calculated individually, i.e. rental by rental.

All rental rates include a fully comprehensive insurance for 1 named driver aged 25-80 years. The excess that applies to any vehicle damage caused by the renter is limited to:
Drivers ages 25-80 years:
£ 2,500 per incident for all motorhomes
Drivers ages 21-24 years:
£ 3,000 per incident for all motorhomes
Bunk Campers must be advised immediately of any damage when it occurs.
For any damage resulting from hail, break-ins, accidents with animals, etc (i.e. 'external influence' or 'freak' damage excluding damage caused by other people to the rental vehicle) above excess applies. Any damage to the tyres, mirrors and/or windscreen is not insured and must be paid for by the renter unless you purchase 'WMTP' (please see below).
The general regulations governing insurance in the UK and Ireland apply as the foundation for this insurance policy. The excess applies to each incident and will be charged separately if more than one incident occurs.
Public liability insurance
Public liability is included in the rental rates which covers the registered drivers with € 5 million. It covers personal injuries and property damage of the third party but personal belongings are not covered.
Additional Insurances:
Additional insurance (unless the All Inclusive Package or the Value Pack has been booked) can be booked in advance or when you pick up the vehicle:
-CDW additional insurance to reduce the deductible to £ 500: (Middle Road Insurance)
Cost per rental night : The deductible can be reduced by taking out CDW additional insurance for the first damage event (for all further damage, the basic insurance is again valid at £ 2500 per damage event.) However, this CDW additional insurance does not include damage to the windshield, mirrors or tires. If you want to insure this damage, you must also take out separate insurance. The CDW insurance cannot be booked by drivers under 25 years of age or over 80 years of age.
-CDW supplementary insurance to reduce the deductible to £ 250: (High Road Insurance)
Cost per rental night: The deductible can be reduced by taking out CDW additional insurance for the first damage event (for all further damage, the basic insurance is again valid at £ 2000 per damage event.) This CDW additional insurance covers damage to the windshield, mirrors or tires. The CDW insurance cannot be booked by drivers under 25 years of age or over 80 years of age.
Windshield, mirror and tire protection insurance (WMTP)
Cost per rental night: This insurance covers the deductible in the event of damage to 2 tires, 1 windshield and 1 exterior mirror. This insurance cannot be booked by drivers under 25 years of age or over 80 years of age.
Bunk Campers are unable to offer driver insurance under the following circumstances and any bookings made in this respect will have to be cancelled:
(a) Drivers under 21 and over 80 years of age
(b) Drivers who have not held a full valid driving licence as outlined above for at least 24 months. (c) Should any driver fail to present all of the correct documentation and identification on collection of the vehicle or the documentation does not meet the driver requirements set out in the terms and conditions, then Bunk Campers will be unable to release the vehicle. No refunds will be given.
(d) Drivers holding only an automatic driving licence
(e) Persons who have had their insurance declined and/or renewal refused and/or special terms imposed and/or have had their insurance cover cancelled or avoided by an insurer.
(f) Persons who, whilst driving, have been involved in more than one fault motor claim during the past 3 years.
A deposit of € 2,500 is required to provide cover for the damage excess when you pick up the vehicle. If the drivers are between 21 and 24 years old a deposit of € 3,000) applies. This can only be done with a credit card (Visa and MasterCard only). You will not be able to pick up your motorhome unless you present a valid credit card.
The security deposit is deducted from the credit card at pick-up and if the vehicle is returned in good and clean condition it will be fully credited back within 28 days of return of the vehicle. All credit card deductions are processed in GBP or EUR. Neither Bunk Campers nor Motorhome Bookers are liable to pay any cost differences that occur between the cost of the deducted bond and the reimbursement which result from foreign exchange fluctuations or external fees.
Please ensure you have adequate credit available on your credit card.
The deposit is reimbursed in entirety by Bunk Campers as long as the motorhome is returned clean, undamaged and with the same fuel level as it was picked up. The rental company reserves the right to charge fees for any damage, necessary cleaning fees, late drop-off and fines incurred during the rental period, etc. These fees are deducted from the credit card in arrears.
If an accident occurs with another vehicle or the driver of another vehicle flees the scene, the renter is liable up to the limit of the excess. The excess is deducted in the first instance - regardless of who is at fault.
The excess is deducted separately for each individual incident within the upper limit.
It is reimbursed as soon as the rental company receives any damage payments from a third party, which can take some time.
Insurance cover is null and void if the terms of the Bunk Campers rental agreement are breached. Any damage that is caused when the renter acts outside of the rental company conditions is not covered by the insurance.
Any water and/or saltwater related damages where the renter is at fault are not covered by the insurance. The insurance does not cover damage in the case of any vehicle submersion, the vehicle being stranded in a water area, driving through causeways or beach driving.
Any personal property that is damaged or stolen during an accident, vandalism or a theft is not insured. Private insurance should be purchased in your home country to cover any such issues. In order to avoid theft of personal items from the vehicle it is advised not to leave any valuable items in the vehicle.
The insurance does not cover damage in the following cases and the renter is fully liable:
-Activities that are in breach of the rental agreement conditions, e.g. driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol or dangerous driving (especially with regard to trailers and camping appendages)
-Costs that arise for towing and recovery of vehicles that have been stranded or submerged as a result of the driver's negligence

-For damages caused by neglecting proper operating procedures, e.g. incorrect fuel type and quality, ignoring oil or coolant levels, ignoring warning signals, air pressure, etc.

A £45 administration fee will be applied to all loss or damages.
The renter alone is liable for any credit card fees or fluctuations in foreign currency that occur while your deposit is held and cannot be claimed back from Bunk Campers nor Motorhome Bookers.
The renter is liable for any fees, costs, fines or penalties that occur during his/her use of the rental vehicle unless any such costs that have taken place are the fault of the rental company.
If speeding tickets and parking fines and/or accidents, etc (e.g. that have not been mentioned to the rental company) come to light the rental company reserves the right to invoice or charge the customer for these costs in arrears as well as a processing fee.
The insurance options offered by the rental company do not include luggage insurance, nor do they include cover for any damage to passengers. It is therefore recommended to obtain travel insurance prior to your departure that covers accidents, sickness and loss of luggage.
All drivers must have held their licence for a minimum of 2 years on pick-up day. UK and European Licences (Category B) and other standard national driving licences are valid as long as the details on the licence are provided in English. Otherwise, an international driving licence is recommended.
